Ed Debevic’s Celebrates the Fifth Annual Ed’s Fest
Proceeds Benefit the Israel Idonije Foundation, Rescue Warriors Corp and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital
Break out your lei and head over to Ed Debevic’s (640 N. Wells) for the fifth annual Ed’s Fest on Saturday, July 26 and help celebrate their 30th anniversary. From 11 a.m.– 5 p.m. guests are invited to a day of Luau-themed, fun-filled activities for the whole family.
Enjoy delicious fest fare including chicken tenders; hot dogs and hamburgers hot off the grill and hot pretzels with cheese sauce. Adults are invited to sip on ice-cold brews from Miller and admire the line up of classic cars while listening to live music courtesy of the onsite deejay. The kids are welcome to partake in shenanigans in the bounce house, play a game of corn hole, let the face painter transform them into their favorite character, attempt to win a hula hoop contest for the chance to win great prize, and more!
If all of that doesn’t satisfy you, have some fun while giving to a great cause with the charity dunk tank. Remember some not-so-friendly advice from the birthday boy Ed, “The dunk tank is not your personal swimming pool.”
And after you’ve cooled off, hula on over to the hot dog and Mitchell’s Ice Cream eating competitions and see if you’ve got what it takes to beat the sassy Ed’s competition. A portion of the proceeds from the many Ed’s Fest activities will benefit great local charities like Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital, Rescue Warriors Corp and The Israel Idonije Foundation.
Thirty years has never looked so good. When asked how Ed stays looking so young, he replied, “Calisthenics, a strict moisturizing regime, and daily intake of my Mom’s meatloaf.”
Ed’s Fest is free to attend; food and beverage not included. Capacity is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. “Like” Ed Debevic’s on Facebook and follow them on Twitter for updates on the fifth annual Ed’s Fest.
